Your Team: Lewes
What Time of the day did the match take place: 3pm
The Match itself: A relatively poor game played in freezing conditions, which Dover Athletic just about deserved to win 2-0. Because of the weather, it would have taken an excellent game to warm the supporters up, but it was one of the least interesting I have seen this season.
Atmosphere in ground: The Dover Athletic fans were the best I have seen this season. They were excellent at our ground on Boxing Day when we beat them 6-2, and were excellent in the reverse fixture when they all packed onto a terrace and created a very good atmosphere. The atmosphere from the Lewes supporters was also quite good.
Quality of Food: I didn't buy any in the ground, but it smelt quite nice.
Quality of Drink: Again, I didn't buy any in the ground.
Bars (in or around the ground): The bar in the ground seemed pleasant, particularly with the cold weather outside.
People (fans, or general): The supporters were very friendly, as were the people who pointed us in the right direction to the ground before the game.
Programme (quality, vaule for money): It cost £2 and was a very good read.
Town/City (what was the host town/city like): The ground is located outside of the town, so I wasn't able to see it.
Ground (tidy, neat, terrible, what was the playing surface like): There is an excellent terrace behind each goal, with both of them stretching right across the width of the pitch. There are two small seated stands on one side of the pitch and one on the other side, all of which seemed to offer very good views of the game.
Talent (either player wise or laydezzzzzzzzzz wise!): It was a day where no player on either side stood out, mainly because of the conditions.
Overall day: It was a decent trip, although going through a snow shower five miles before the ground wasn't too good. However, the local people seemed very friendly, and the only thing letting the day down was the result.
